The Evasons are one of very few couples in history who have mastered this unusual talent. For over 30 years, Jeff & Tessa Evason have been studying mind games, magic and human behavior.
Their theatrical performance of psychic entertainment blends mystical secrets with extraordinary powers of the mind. For Jeff, it all began at an early age in Canada when his curiosity was piqued after watching guest magicians on TV shows like Ed Sullivan, Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin. Eventually he decided to hone his own skills in the magical arts.
Tessa grew up on the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia. She recalls watching a magician on a weekly TV series which was broadcast on the island’s one and only TV station . Even at a young age, she was drawn to the mysterious. In 1983 Jeff and Tessa met through a mutual friend who was a fashion designer in Toronto.
They came up with the idea of having Jeff levitate Tessa during an upcoming fashion show. After their debut performance, the couple’s astounding one-of-a-kind act developed quickly. Soon they were receiving attention from fascinated audiences worldwide and it’s no mystery why. You may have seen them on NBC, FOX, Discovery Channel, CBS, CTV, Global and CBC.
They’ve traveled to over 35 countries performing at galas, corporate events, military bases for Canadian and UN troops, on cruise ships, resort hotels and casino showrooms. They’ve even been invited to appear at parties for political leaders and royal families. The Evasons have been honored with some of the top awards in their field.
They are the first mentalists in history to receive the prestigious Milbourne Christopher Award, considered to be the Academy Award of magic, from the Society of American Magicians (past recipients include David Copperfield, Doug Henning and Siegfried and Roy). They were awarded the highest honor for distinguished professionalism by the international Psychic Entertainers Association.
They are also the only mentalists ever to receive the “SARMOTI Award” which legendary magicians Siegfried and Roy present to their favorite act in Las Vegas.
