Iddris Sandu is an architectural technologist who has revolutionized the convergence of entertainment and technology. Coding since the tender age of 13, Sandu has consulted for some of the biggest tech companies in the world the likes of Google, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

His genius was given light in high school, as he was honored by former President Barack Obama after creating a mobile application for his high school which would give students turn by turn directions to navigate to classrooms.

In early 2017, Iddris conceived the world’s first smart retail experience, The Marathon Store, with the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, designed an album cover for Kanye West in 2018, and gave the NYU Commencement address in 2019. His mission now is to bridge the divide between the tech industry and minority communities, and to bring enhanced design to everyday objects that don’t have the same appeal as aspirational gadgets and products.

Pointedly, Iddris takes a vertically integrated approach to all the technology he builds and creates; favoring the creation of operating systems and services rather than simple building architecture. It’s this signature vision and imagination that has set Iddris apart from his peers within the tech landscape and he’s well on his way to redefining how we use the technology of tomorrow.

Iddris now works with cultural influencers like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Pharrell, and The Migos to show them how they can not only use technologies ; but be a part of the next era of creators that build more and consume less.

An influencer in high demand, Iddris has been courted by the likes of TED X , Apple, ComplexCon, and most recently, Google. Iddris’ platform speaks to a variety of topics, chief among them, culture and design. Moreover, Iddris’ platform stresses the intricacies of the human and environmental dynamics through technology, and the democratization of technology in Africa and in urban neighborhoods around the US. As a multi-hyphenate, Sandu defies the laws of the tech mogul typecast. As an architect, he learns how to apply technology to societal structures through app development, product design and industrial engineering.
