Y-Vonne Hutchinson is the CEO and founder of ReadySet, a diversity strategy firm based in Oakland, CA, co-founder/advisor of Project Include, and Co-founder of Build Tech We Trust. Prior to launching ReadySet and Project Include, she worked as an international labor and human rights lawyer for nearly a decade. She has worked with foreign national governments, the US Department of State, and the UN.

In 2015, she started her company ReadySet, because she saw technology leading the changes in workforce development and the ways we work. Today, ReadySet helps innovative organizations around the globe build, manage, and grow diverse teams. In 2016, alongside Ellen Pao, Freada Kapor Klein, Tracy Chao, Erica Baker, and other prominent women in tech; she cofounded Project Include, a non-profit focused on increasing diversity and inclusion in tech. This year, spurred by the mass shootings in Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton; she co-founded Build Tech We Trust, an organization committed to combating extremism online.

She speaks on technology, human rights, diversity and inclusion, and radicalization frequently; most recently at Harvard Law, Yale Law, Yale School of Management, Stanford, UC Berkeley, University of San Francisco and MIT Sloan. She has served as a judge for MIT’s inclusive innovation competition for the past three years, and explores topics related to critical approaches to international labor protection as a member of Harvard Law’s Institute for Global and Policy network. Her work has been featured across media outlets including, CNBC, The New York Times, Bloomberg, Wired Magazine, The Wall Street Journal , and The Washington Post . She also sits on the Women of Color Advisory Council for the Anita Borg Institute and the advisory board for the East Bay Tech Equity Collaborative.
