White Panda is a DJ known for remixing and releasing mashups. Though effervescent EDM project White Panda made its name as a duo with a long series of mashups and, later, remixes in the early to mid-2010s, it was down to one member in 2018. By that time, the project had topped the Hype Machine chart over two dozen times. As a masked solo act, White Panda released its first original single, “Hands on Me,” in June of 2018.
White Panda quickly found success on streaming sites and Internet radio. The duo released their first mix album, the hour-long Versus, in 2009. By the arrival of Bambooyah in 2012, they were one of Soundcloud’s five most-streamed artists and toured with the likes of Mac Miller, Tiësto, and Steve Aoki. Its mashup of Lil Dicky and Great Food Fine OK called “Save Dat One for Me” garnered millions of streams. In 2017, White Panda’s mashup of Michael Jackson’s “Blood on the Dance Floor” and “Dangerous” (and three other MJ tunes) was included as a bonus track on the posthumous Jackson collection Scream. The album charted on the Billboard 200, while the White Panda mashup reached number 47 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in early 2018.
On June 18, 2018, it was announced on their Facebook page that the White Panda had become a solo act. White Panda made his return to the EDM genre in 2021 with Nightclub, a nearly 57 minute mix that spans 39 mashups in one continuous mix.
