Valeisha Butterfield-Jones is an award-winning political strategist, youth and women’s activist and lifestyle expert. Butterfield-Jones is currently the Head of Black Engagement at Google, as well as the Co-founder and CEO of the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) and the author of the highly acclaimed book, The Girlprint.

A political organizing veteran, Butterfield-Jones served as the National Youth Vote Director for the Obama for America campaign from 2011 – 2012, in the Obama Administration as the Deputy Director of Public Affairs for International Trade from 2009 – 2011 and as the National Executive Director for Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Summit Action Network for more than seven years, a non-profit dedicated to voter education and financial literary for young adults.

In 2007, Butterfield-Jones co-founded the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) a global coalition of women and men committed to supporting, promoting and defending the balanced, positive portrayal of women in entertainment and society.

Butterfield-Jones has been recognized by ESSENCE Magazine as top 40 under 40, EBONY Magazine Top 100, JET Magazine, The Business Insider and TheRoot100 as a leading executive in the United States and profiled by Glamour Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, Black Enterprise, Sister 2 Sister Magazine, Source, VIBE and more.

Butterfield-Jones is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, married to NBA veteran Dahntay Jones, the daughter of U.S. Congressman G. K Butterfield and N.C. Legislator Jean Farmer Butterfield and the loving mother of a wonderful toddler, Dahntay Jones, Jr. R
