Award-winning writer/editor/speaker Michelle Lee has been the Editor in Chief of Allure since 2015. She is the former Editor in Chief of NYLON, NYLON Guys, and nylon.com. In 2015, she was promoted to Head of Brand Strategy at NYLON and then CMO for the company, putting her in charge of ideation and execution of native advertising. In that role, she worked on large 360-degree campaigns for global fashion, beauty, and tech brands, and helped launch NYLON Studio, the company’s in-house creative agency.

She is also the recent Chief Content and Strategy Officer at Magnified Media, a branded content agency for digital and print. Lee, who was featured as a “Thought Leader”? by Google in a 2013 series on digital video in the future, has launched brands and digital projects, both big and small.

Part of the launch teams for Us Weekly and The Daily Front Row, and former Editor in Chief of In Touch Weekly and intouchweekly.com, Lee also helped to launch CosmoGIRL, which won AdWeek’s Launch of the Year. She then went on to senior staff positions at Mademoiselle and the ASME Award-winning Glamour, where she covered entertainment, fashion/beauty, and features.

The former Rock Star Style columnist for Paper magazine, she later became SVP of Content at Hollywood.com and Editorial Director/Creator of style site Beyond the Row and has written for publications including Marie Claire, NYLON, Elle, Real Simple, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Self, and others.

A prominent speaker, Lee has spoken at Columbia University and has appeared on many TV outlets, such as the Today Show, Good Morning America, VH1, MTV, Entertainment Tonight, CNN, MSNBC, and more.

Lee is also an accomplished author and has been featured in the New York Times, WSJ, Washington Post, and others.
