As the judge on the nationally syndicated daytime show, Paternity Court, the sharp-witted, opinionated Lake helps litigants resolve legal issues involving paternity by rendering incisive judgments using DNA evidence. Lake regularly contributes her no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is advice and analysis to some of today’s most popular television networks and programs including, The View, Good Morning America, Today Show, CBS This Morning, Dr. Phil, Nancy Grace, O’Reilly Factor, CNN, HLN and BET as well as in The New York Times, Newsday, Entertainment Weekly, Time Magazine, Essence, Good Housekeeping, Woman’s Day and Family Circle.

Whether she’s providing legal insight or doling out healthy doses of her “keep it real” style counsel or commentary, Lauren encourages audiences to think outside the box, inspires them to meet life’s challenges head on, and be educated and empowered in every situation.

In her book, “Girl! Let Me Tell You…” Lauren uplifts and empowers single women through lessons of self-examination, self-acceptance and laughter, to never settle for anything less than they deserve in life or in love. Her Limitless Living life coaching series, features seminars like Why Be Ordinary when Extraordinary is an Option?, Negotiating in Relationships, and Design to Thrive.

Lake co-founded the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN), which promotes the positive portrayal of women in entertainment and society through nationwide mentoring and outreach programs for young women. An accomplished musician, entertainer and all-around creative spirit, Lauren has sung background for platinum selling artists like Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige and P. Diddy and was host and designer on HGTV’s Spice Up My Kitchen and Showdown champion for two consecutive years.
