Gay Gaddis envisioned a fresh business approach and cashed in her $16,000 IRA to start an advertising firm driven by a new think tank model to provide business solutions, not just advertising. Today, T3 is recognized as one of the top innovation agencies in the country.
Gay serves on the Board of Directors of Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: TYPE), is the first female Chairman of the Texas Business Leadership Council, and is former Chairman of Committee of 200 (C200), a top women’s business organization that advances women’s leadership in business. She has received numerous awards and honors including Fast Company’s “Top 25 Women Business Builders” and Inc. Magazine’s “Top 10 Entrepreneurs of the Year.” An active spokesperson, writer, and artist, Gay is a regular contributor to Forbes, part of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Insider Network, is a frequent guest on Bloomberg Television and has spoken to business and women’s groups around the world. Her bold Texas landscape paintings have been part of gallery shows in New York City and earned her being named by Texas Monthly magazine as one of the top ten artists to collect now. Gay and her husband, Lee, own and operate the historic Double Heart Ranch, a large working ranch in the Texas Hill Country.
