Fons Trompenaars is one of the world’s most sought-after management consultants. With humour, Trompenaars tries to make his audience aware of the importance of cultural diversity in companies. “A good leader brings together the paradoxes of that diversity. That’s why George Bush was not such an example of leadership”, says Trompenaars.

Anyone who has ever led a multi-cultural team knows why they need to hear what Fons has to share. He gives invaluable insight to smooth negotiations in globalisation, mergers and acquisition, HR and leadership development. Abroad they know Fons Trompenaars better than in his own country and he is sometimes called the globetrotter among the Dutch gurus.

Fons is known all over the world as a consultant, trainer, motivational speaker and author of many books on culture and business. He has been helping Fortune 500 leaders and professionals with their business and culture related issues for over 25 years to increase global effectiveness and performance.

Fons Trompenaars is author of the bestseller ‘Riding the Waves of Culture, Understanding Cultural Diversity in Business’. This book has sold over 120,000 copies and been translated into 16 languages. He is co-author of Seven Cultures of Capitalism, Building Cross-Cultural Competence and 21 Leaders for the 21st Century with Charles Hampden-Turner. He also published Riding the Whirlwind, a dynamic new take on creativity and innovation. Fons has co-written an article with Peter Woolliams entitled “Lost in Translation” regarding culture and failure, which was published in the April 2011 online issue of the Harvard Business Review.

In 2017, Fons Trompenaars was listed at Thinkers50 Hall of Fame.
