Fernando Madureira is the Global CISO of Cosan Group, overseeing the Information Security, Cybersecurity, Cyber Intelligence, OT Security and Data Protection across all the group companies.With more than 25 years’ experience working in Information Security and Cyber Security for large companies from different market sectors, Fernando’s career is rooted in international assignments including leadership positions such as CISO in different countries, leading complex security transformation and maturity programs. In conjunction with a business-minded and change-driven approach, Fernando’s diverse background allows for the successful execution of mature security strategies and roadmap at a global level.Fernando holds a dual-citizen (Brazilian and European Citizen), he is a frequent speaker at security forums, an advisor to C-level executives in corporations around the world, and he enjoys spending time with clients, partners and suppliers to help strategize solutions that address sophisticated and complex security challenges.

As part of his international career, Fernando lived and worked in different countries across the globe such as USA, Singapore, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, UK and Spain, always working and supporting large business from different market sectors and segments.

Fernando has been involved in the Information Security and Cyber Security industry since 1995. He has held a number of Global leadership positions as CISO (Chief Information Security Officer), World Wide Internal Audit Manager and Director of Compliance & Risk Management (GRC) in large organizations such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Unilever, Experian, Liberty Global, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Votorantim Bank and Clariant.
