Dr. Alexa Altman has a gentle, nurturing approach to therapy, where her goal is to connect clients to their own sense of resilience and their unique internal healing resources. Alexa believes that each individual has an innate blueprint for health, which can be accessed through trusting the process, slowing down, and deepening the connection to oneself and the present moment.

After earning her doctorate with a focus in Health Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Alexa went on to serve as a consulting psychologist for the hit NBC show The Biggest Loser. She also served on the clinical staff at Bridges to Recovery Residential Treatment Center, and worked as an intervention facilitator at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. Alexa’s clinical approach draws from her extensive training in mind/body interventions such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, biofeedback and mindfulness meditation.
