Full Bio

Dolores Robinson has truly become one of the industry’s most influential and successful managers. After moving to Los Angeles in 1974 to start a new life with her children, Robinson has since created an impressive reputation in the entertainment industry. In one capacity or another, she has been directly involved in building the careers of some of Hollywood’s biggest motion picture and television stars.

Robinson began her career in her hometown of Philadelphia as the public relations director and on-air personality for the city’s NBC affiliate. As a powerful communicator with a natural flair for the entertainment industry, she quickly learned the business. Thanks to the help of her colleague and close friend, the late Cleavon Little, Robinson moved out west and landed her first job in Hollywood, answering phones for Little’s agent, Maggie Henderson. She soon became a busy talent agent, eventually forming her own management company in 1976, now known as Dolores Robinson Entertainment.

With Levar Burton as her first client, Robinson steadily and rapidly grew her client roster as she climbed to the top. Her instinctive ability to spot major actors has resulted in her managing Wesley Snipes, Martin Sheen, Rosie Perez, Emilio Esteves, Randy Quaid, Elisabeth Shue, Tea Leoni, Powers Booth, John Henton, Pierce Brosnan, Linda Fiorentino, Kadeem Hardison, Corey Haim, Harry Hamlin, Jason Patric, Alison Porter (“Curly Sue”) and many more. A highly respected manager, Robinson handles the thriving careers of talent such as Michael Clarke Duncan, Holly Robinson Peete, Eric Benet, Patrick Warburton, and Aly Al Shearer. She continues to use her business savvy in production deals with networks and studios to develop projects for her clients. Robinson was Executive Producer of a television series for Montel Williams called Matt Waters, and a pilot for ABC starring NBA Hall of Famer George Gervin. She also Executive Produced the Fox/UPN show Between Brothers starring Kadeem Hardison.

Robinson is sharply attuned with leading her clients on the way to stardom and has accomplished this in the most professional style. She was a long-time member of the Board of Directors for the ACLU, and was an original advisory board member for the Hollywood Women’s Political Committee. Robinson is now on the Board of Directors for the Motion Picture & Television Fund, and has been very politically active over the years supporting candidates throughout the country.
