Desmond Sinclair Walker, better known as Des Walker, is an English football speaker and player best known for his on and off career at Nottingham Forest FC. Since retiring in 2004 Walker has developed a career as a after-dinner speaker at events across the UK.

Although he was born in North London, Des Walker has settled in Nottingham, following his ten-year career.

Although he was born in North London, Des Walker has settled in Nottingham, following his ten-year career at the local club Nottingham Forest. Now a football speaker, who covered the centre-back position, he spent eight years at Forest between 1984 and 1992 and returned to the club after a ten-year break.

Apassionate and dedicated sports speaker, Des Walker continues to support his former team, he is often cited as one of the most popular players to ever play for Forest and his two England caps only further enhance his popularity. This public popularity makes Des Walker one of the most frequently requested football speakers on our roster, with his attendance often drawing large crowds and repeat bookings.

Des Walker is available for hire as a football speaker across the UK, however, his affinity for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire make him an incredibly popular choice in this area. With hopes of further securing his ties to the area Desmond’s son, Tyler Walker, is currently signed to Nottingham Forest – where he sees success either in the first-team or on-loan at other clubs.
