As the resident design expert on Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning series, Queer Eye, and a member of the Fab Five, Bobby Berk brings change to people’s lives starting within their home by teaching them that a happy home means a happy life. The show is earnest and endearing as Queer Eye continues to challenge social norms – and, in its best moments, the Fab Five themselves. In its fifth season, Queer Eye is now one of the most popular shows on Netflix and is available in more than 100 countries. In addition to his TV work, Bobby leads his eponymous multi-faceted brand, including the comprehensive lifestyle destination, BobbyBerk.com. His design firm has quickly become a design leader in the home building industry, and in 2020, Architectural Digest crowned Bobby as one of the “most famous interior designers working today.”

With a “superpower for transforming lives and living spaces” (Los Angeles Times), Bobby illustrates the critical connections between design and life. Additionally, he brings a unique viewpoint to the design industry, with substantial experience across many facets of the trade. With his extensive background, Bobby has given lectures across the globe on topics including retail, manufacturing, interior design, and licensing, among others.

From Missouri to Texas to Denver, Bobby grew up quickly at a young age and faced many challenges before settling in New York in his 20’s. Driven to pursue his passion for interior design, he immersed himself in the retail world and worked his way up in companies like Bed Bath & Beyond and Restoration Hardware. Bobby’s determination, specific creative eye, and love for people soon earned him the title of Creative Director for Portico Home + Spa.

In 2006, Bobby started his own company and opened his first showroom in lower Manhattan the following year, eventually expanding the business nationwide. Years later, in 2015, he launched his full-service bespoke interior design practice for residential, commercial, and hospitality clientele.

When Bobby is not running his design practice or filming, he spends his time in Los Angeles, where he resides with his husband, Dewey.
