He is a nationally acclaimed heart and lung transplant surgeon, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader, and chairman of the Executive Council of the health investment firm Cressey & Company. Senator Frist is also the co-founder of Aspire Health, the nation’s largest provider of non-hospice, community-based palliative care in the country, and host of healthcare podcast A Second Opinion, Rethinking American Health.
Senator Frist has also been a leader in education, having founded the State Collaborative on Education Reform (SCORE) in Tennessee, which has become a national model on how to best reform a statewide education system.
