Born in Nigeria, raised in Canada, Aisha Alfa’s comedy is worldly, energetic, and silly, with a positive perspective. Aisha is the previous winner of Winnipeg’s Funniest Person with a Day Job from Rumors Comedy Club, was a finalist for NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity, was chosen as one of the first Toronto Bob Curry Fellowship recipients from Second City and was regional finalists for SiriusXM’s Canada’s Next Top Comic.

She performs at clubs and festivals across Canada including Just For Laughs (Montreal & Toronto), Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and Halifax Pop Explosion. She has also appeared internationally at The Comedy Store (San Diego & LA), The Las Vegas Comedy Show, The Hollywood Improv (LA) and The Cape Town Comedy Club (South Africa).

Aisha’s television appearances include The Second City Project for The Second City, Superchanel’s Too Much Information, MTV’s Degrassi: The Next Generation, and PBS’ Emmy Award winning Odd Squad. Aisha was also a Co-Host on Much Music’s Video on Trial.

Alfa was honoured to be a TEDx Manitoba speaker in 2012 and Host/MC 2013-15. Aisha loves laughing and hates bananas.
