Natalie Dormer is an actress recognized for her diverse roles in both film and television. She gained widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Anne Boleyn on the Showtime series “The Tudors” and international recognition for her role as Margaery Tyrell in the HBO series “Game of Thrones”. Her film career includes notable appearances in “W.E.,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” and “The Hunger Games” franchise. Dormer’s work has garnered several nominations and awards, including an Empire Award, a Critics’ Choice Award, and four Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Dormer’s versatile acting skill is further showcased through her stage debut in “Sweet Nothings” and her title role in a stage version of “Anna Karenina” at the Chichester Festival Theatre. In addition to acting, Dormer has also co-written and starred in the film “In Darkness” and launched her production company, Dog Rose Productions, which signed a multiyear, first-look deal with Fremantle in December 2019. Dormer’s recent works include leading roles in the miniseries “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels,” the crime drama TV series “White Lies,” and the film “Audrey’s Children”.
Off-stage, Dormer has made significant contributions as a public figure. As the NSPCC ambassador for Childline since 2019, she gave a speech at the United Nations headquarters on World Humanitarian Day in 2016 to highlight the plight of refugees. She was made an honorary member of the NSPCC’s council in 2024. Additionally, Dormer was involved in the recording of the audiobook for “Pantosaurus and the Power Of PANTS” in 2021, an NSPCC’s book designed to discuss consent with children.
