Dahlia Lithwick is a senior legal editor at Slate, and in that capacity, writes the “Supreme Court Dispatches” and “Jurisprudence” columns, and hosts the biweekly podcast Amicus. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Harper’s, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, and Commentary, among other places. She won a 2013 National Magazine Award for her columns on the Affordable Care Act.

Dahlia Lithwick is a senior legal editor at Slate. She writes the “Supreme Court Dispatches” and “Jurisprudence” columns, and hosts the biweekly podcast Amicus for the Slate. Her work has appeared in the New York TimesHarper’sThe New YorkerThe Washington Post, and Commentary, among other places. She won a 2013 National Magazine Award for her columns on the Affordable Care Act. She has been twice awarded an Online Journalism Award for her legal commentary and was the first online journalist invited to be on the Reporters Committee for the Freedom of the Press.

Ms. Lithwick has appeared on CNN, ABC, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, and is frequently a guest on The Rachel Maddow Show. She has also been a guest columnist for the New York Times Op-Ed page. Lithwick, functioning in her role as Slate’s legal correspondent, often provides summaries of and commentary on current United States Supreme Court cases as a guest on National Public Radio’s news magazine Day to Day, which is co-produced by Slate.com.

She is co-author of Me v. Everybody: Absurd Contracts for an Absurd World (Workman Publishing, 2003), a legal humor book, and I Will Sing Life: Voices from the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp (Little, Brown & Co., 1992), a book about seven children from Paul Newman’s camp who have life-threatening illnesses.

Ms. Lithwick won the National Magazine Award for her columns on the Affordable Care Act in 2013 and has been twice awarded an Online Journalism Award for her legal commentary. Ms. Lithwick was also the first online journalist invited to be on the Reporters Committee for the Freedom of the Press.
